- In 1877, the mule of prospector Hayes knocks over a rock filled with Silver. With the rich strike, Hayes want to build a peaceful town, but with the mines comes outlaws and Epitaph is soon overrun by the criminals. Tracy Dalton is the boss behind the outlaws and things look up when Bill Elliott passes through town. However, Bill is just passing through, but a few bullets tossed at him and a pretty school teacher make him stay for a few days to look into ending the lawlessness.—Tony Fontana <tony.fontana@spacebbs.com>
- A religious old prospector, Gabby Whittaker (George "Gabby" Hayes), becomes wealthy when his mule, Elijah, uncovers a rich silver deposit. Gabby found the town of Epitaph, sponsors a school and brings in a school teacher, Abigail Holmes (Anne Jeffries), although the town has only one youngster of school age. ten-year-old- Johnny Taylor (Harry McKim). Tracy Dalton LeRoy Mason) have established themselves in Epitaph and have taken over the running of the town---their stooges being Sheriff Barker (Forrest Taylor) and Mayor Frisbie (Hal Price.) Wild Bill Elliott (Bill Elliott), passing through Epitaph, comes upon some of Dalton's gang molesting Gabby and his mule, and routs the henchmen. From this point things begin to happen, fast and furiously, when Wild Bill, a peaceable man, begins to round up the crooks and brings law-and-order to the little town of Epitaph.—Les Adams <longhorn1939@suddenlink.net>
