- The outlaw Stragg has the town so intimidated that no one will speak against him no matter what he does. Sheriff Young heads for a nearby town, where there is a witness willing to testify. Meanwhile, Stragg hires a gunman to take care of the sheriff and the witness.—Snow Leopard
- Gambler, saloon owner Stragg (Bruce Bennett)has set himself up as the boss of the town, surrounding himself with hired gunmen as well as bribing the local politician in order to make his land-grabbing easier. The only opposition if from the newly sheriff, Ward Young (Richard Arlen), and his deputy son, Faron (Faron Young). During a crooked card game with a pair of brothers, Slagg kills Joe Miller (Bill Ward), but the other brother, Burt Miller (Ben Gans, as Ron Kennedy), escapes. Sheriff Young is determined to find Burt and hang Slagg legally, which causes Deputy Young to quit in disgust. Meanwhile, Slagg has hired professional killer "Snipe" Young (John Carradine) to kill both the sheriff and Burt. "Snipe" is well-named as he doesn't play Gun Duel by the rules...and carries a hidden gun.—Les Adams <longhorn1939@suddenlink.net>
