Actor and conservationist Dia Mirza has been named the ambassador for Swachh Bharat’s youth based Swachh Saathi (student internship) program.
“Swachh Bharat is amongst the most important initiatives taken up by the government and I believe that the Swachh Saathi program will be an extremely important part of our dream to realize a clean, healthy and environmentally conscious youth and country,” said the actor after accepting the honour.
Under the Swachh Saathi program more than 2000 interns would be enrolled, who would coordinate with around 10,000 schools across the country and ensure that all students in these schools take the pledge for Clean India.

Mumbai, March 5: Yesteryears actress and TV host Simi Garewal says she would love to return to her first love, acting, provided she gets something interesting.
"I would love to act on big screen again," Simi told reporters here Tuesday at the press meet for Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2014.
"It has been my first love. It brought me to the film industry. If the role is suitable, I would love to act again," she added.
The 66-year-old made her acting debut in 1962 with "Tarzan Goes to India" and later gave some remarkable performances in films like "Do Badan", "Saathi", "Karz" and "Mera Naam Joker", among others.
