Matti Hunttala is a businessman. He comes to a village called Hukansalmi and hires a young man on his way.Everybody believes he will do good to the commune's economy. He promises to build factories that will bring new jobs. But this man turns out to be a fraud.Kun Hunttalan Matti Suomen Osti (1984) is directed by Markku Onttonen. It's based on the novel Kättenpäällepanijat (1982) by Simo Hämäläinen.Pekka Laiho is just the right man to play the lead.Other actors are also right for their parts.Heikki Kinnunen plays Varis.Ahti Kuoppala is Oskari Sievinen.Leena Uotila is the secretary Pirjo Lundberg.Jari Pehkonen plays Vaito Oinonen.Martti Tschokkinen plays Communal Manager Kiiskinen.Erkki Ruokokoski is Eino Koistinen.Sakari Jurkka is Older Civil Servant while Ahti Jokinen plays Younger Civil Servant.Sylvi Salonen plays Woman by Clothesline.Pertti Palo plays Surveyor.Pekka Räty is Speaker at Demonstration.Esko Hukkanen plays Village Man.Aarre Karén plays Veikko-psychiatrist and Marita Nordberg is his wife Britta. The movie manages to be funny pretty often.I especially enjoyed Esko Hukkanen's character, how he spoke straight to camera. And the nonsense that comes out of Matti's mouth is quite hilarious.
