- A teenager spies on his older neighbour through binoculars.
- "Thou shalt not commit adultery" - a shorter, scaled-down version of 'A Short Film About Love', with a less complex plot and a different ending - though the basic narrative about the relationship between a lonely 19-year- old boy and the thirtysomething artist that he spies on every night is the same.—Michael Brooke <michael@everyman.demon.co.uk>
- Tomek (Olaf Lubaszenko) works as a clerk at a Post Office in Warsaw. He lives in an apartment complex with his Godmother (Stefania Iwinska), while her son is away in Syria. Tomek is infatuated with a promiscuous older woman, Magda (Grazyna Szapolowska), who lives in the building across the street. Tomek spies on her, makes blank calls and also engages in voyeurism.
Tomek sees Magda at a shop and after learning that there is a problem with the milk deliveries at her apartment he decides to take up the job of the deliveryman to get closer to her. Later, he sees her having sex with a man at her apartment, to stop them he makes a fake emergency call about an apparent gas leak at her apartment.
Tomek puts a fake postal notice of a money order, as he had done before, in her mailbox. Magda comes to the Post Office only to realize that these notices are forged. After having a bitter argument with the Postmistress, she leaves the office in anger. After seeing his plan go wrong, he chases her down and confesses that he had placed the fake notices. Magda becomes infuriated after learning that he has been peeping at her and shoves him away. Later that night Magda calls her boyfriend to have sex and during the act, she informs him that they're being watched by a voyeur from the adjacent apartment. The boyfriend (Rafal Imbro) rushes downstairs in a rage and calls out Tomek. Tomek, despite being nervous, goes down to confront him. Magda's boyfriend punches him down and gives a stern warning.
The next morning, Magda catches the bruised Tomek delivering milk. When questioned by Magda, Tomek admits that he loves her and asks her out on a date. During the date, Magda dismisses his feeling of love, asks about his past. Later that night, Magda takes Tomek to her apartment. She dismisses that there is love in lovemaking and asserts that it is only sex. She asks him to touch her thighs and get her wet inside. Tomek feels embarrassed and runs away home. Tomek's Godmother, already suspicious of Tomek's recent behavior, sees this encounter through the telescope from her apartment. Magda feels guilty and tries to signal him to call her from the window. She also makes a poster reading 'Come Back. Sorry' but all these efforts are futile.
Feeling ashamed, Tomek attempts suicide by cutting his wrist. Magda sees an ambulance leaving Tomek's building and his Godmother standing there. She rushes to his apartment and then learns from his godmother that Tomek has been hospitalized. Magda becomes increasingly anxious and worried day by day waiting for Tomek to return from the hospital and realizes that Tomek was right about love. Finally one day she finds Tomek at the Post Office.
