- In the original script for the film, there was an extended sequence depicting a single very bad dog being tortured by demons in hell. This was ultimately removed during production because it contradicted with earlier scenes as well as the title.
- In the DVD prints, the closing MGM logo appears after the "Distributed by MGM/UA" text.
- Some VHS re-prints and the DVD release add the MGM/UA Communications Company byline underneath the opening United Artists logo.
