Down On The Farm
This Famous Studios Screen Song starts off with the usual three and a half minutes of gags; as you might guess, they're about Michigan, taking almanac facts and converting them into some amusing bits.
Then, of course, there's the song: Irving Berlin's."I Want To Go Back To Michigan." He wrote it in 1914, and soon enough Billy Murray did a recording of it. It was never one of his hits, but had a good, long life on the vaudeville circuit. If you've heard it, it's probably because Judy Garland sang it -- while dancing with Fred Astaire -- in EASTER PARADE.
