Sequel to "Dreams of a Rarebit Fiend"

Billy Bletcher snacks on lobster and a pickle before going to bed and suffers the nightmarish consequences in this very funny and scary short.

Although it is listed as a 1948 release, this is clearly a short from 1928 reissued with a sound track. It's a highly engaging combination of live action, trick photography and animation as Billy winds up being chased down the highway in his bed by three giant lobsters.

Although Bletcher is usually remembered for voicing the growly-voiced characters in Looney Tunes -- Papa Owl in "I Love to Sing-a" and similar roles -- he had a long career that dated from 1915, co-starring with Oliver Hardy and Billy Ruge in Vim comedies in Florida.
