- Jimmy applies for a position as Chauffeur, is mistaken for a suitor and is thrown about by an irate father.
- Jimmy is a wanderer. He answers an advertisement for a new chauffeur and roustabout. The girl at the house where he has employment has a love affair with the villain who threatens the father with a mortgage he has on the home. The girl fears the villain and is grateful to Jimmy for his interference. Jimmy takes her for a ride in her father's automobile. The villain pursues. Jimmy has car trouble. A storm overtakes them. Jimmy is blown out of the picture. The villain finds him and they quarrel. Jimmy gets the better of the villain, carries the girl to his car and during an altercation with the villain, the girl takes the car and goes home. Jimmy has further trouble with the car, after the villain begs a ride. Jimmy finally sells the car to a junk man for two dollars. He gets home to find the villain there threatening the old man. He offers to pay the mortgage. This pleases the girl and all is well until Aubrey announces that he has sold the car for junk to raise the money.
