Although everyone understands that Nielsen ratings usually play a big role in TV cancellations and renewals, most fans do not get to participate in that system. So, we are offering you the chance to rate CBS TV shows here, instead.

Deal or No Deal Island fans will soon be able to watch Boston Rob Mariano, their favorite reality television show hero, again.
Boston Rob was the main reason many watched the inaugural Season 1 of Deal or No Deal Island, and fans were not afraid to say that loudly on social media.
So many fans threatened not to watch to see who would ultimately win on the Deal or No Deal spin-off that NBC did not reveal Boston Rob’s fate until the last episode.
Boston Rob made a fatal mistake during a crucial challenge that caused him to be penalized so severely he had no hope of winning.
During Deal or No Deal Island, Boston Rob revealed that he would love to be on Season 3 of The Traitors as his next reality television series.

The fact that the 76th Emmy nominations voting round ended on Monday means that Gold Derby’s users have had over 10 days to make their picks in five categories that were previously not included in our predictions center. After taking very little time to form, these new consensus lineups have remained virtually unchanged for nearly two weeks, presumably because they generally consist of tried-and-true contenders and almost exclusively align with the prospect of repeat wins.
Based on the predictions of all 3,000 of our participating readers, the only major change that has occurred in the five new categories since voting opened is “Top Chef” presenter Kristen Kish’s displacement of Gordon Ramsay (“Next Level Chef”) in the Best Reality/Competition Host lineup. A closer examination of the opinions of our predictor subgroups reveals more discrepancies, including that our editors stand alone in still backing Ramsay and forecasting a second consecutive Best...

Taylor Wily, who rose to fame on the sumo circuit in the late 1980s before moving into acting, appearing in memorable roles on the TV reboot of Hawaii Five-0 and the comedy film Forgetting Sarah Marshall, died this week in Hawaii, according to the local ABC News affiliate on the island. He was 56.
Wily’s death on June 20 was confirmed by TV producer Peter M. Lenkov, executive producer on the Hawaii Five-0 reboot. The network hit ran for a decade after premiering to a strong reception in 2010. On the show, Wily played Kamekona Tupuola, a shrimp truck owner and informant providing intel to the Five-0 Task Force. On Instagram, Lenkov wrote of his shock at the news of his friend’s death, then shared a heartfelt note directed to Wily.
“I am devastated. Heartbroken. I’ll post some detailed feelings later. Just too hard right now,” Lenkov wrote in an initial post.

Apple TV+’s The Reluctant Traveler With Eugene Levy won two awards, including best unstructured series and best travel/adventure show, the only other multiple award-winning program on Saturday night.

Since 2008, the TV academy has honored the work of reality and competition series presenters with the Emmy Award for Best Reality/Competition Host. During this year’s first-round nominations voting period, academy members from eight branches must choose from 48 entrants, which is down from 2023’s total of 67 and keeps the number of available nomination slots at five.
Included on the 2024 ballot is reigning victor RuPaul Charles, who has prevailed on all eight of his consecutive bids for “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” Also seeking another win is Jeff Probst (“Survivor”), who dominated the category from 2008 to 2011 but has not been nominated since.
The peer groups allowed to vote for nominations in this category are casting directors, daytime programming, performers, producers, production executives, professional representatives, reality, and television executives. These voters have until June 24 to choose from the options listed below, and the lineup will be announced on July 17.

Since 2003, the Best Competition Program Emmy has been awarded annually in recognition of reality entertainment structured around talent or endurance contests. This year, there are 50 such options for TV academy members to choose from on their first-round nominations ballots, which means there will be five nominees announced on July 17. This is down from 59 entrants in 2023 and 81 in 2022.
All 20,000 plus voting members of the TV academy have until June 24 to cast their Emmy nominations ballots for their favorite competition programs. They must limit their choices to five, reflecting the number of eventual nominees.

The fate of CBS owner Paramount Global remains way up in the air, and the future of broadcast TV in general remains a big question mark. But as CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach said on Tuesday at the Banff World Media Festival, that’s not stopping her from plotting her primetime development plans way into the future.
“What’s great as we’re talking about 2025-26, in some cases, we’ve even pinpointed places where we want to be developing for 2026-27 already,” she said. “That’s the joy of working at CBS, and with the schedule and the stability that we have on the schedule, that we can think that far in advance. We’re crazy if we’re not taking advantage of that.”

X-men '97 Scores TCA Nomination For Outstanding New Program Alongside Shogun, Ripley & Baby Reindeer

The Television Critics Association announced their picks for the best shows of the 2023-2024 TV season on Monday, and in a pleasantly surprising development, Marvel Studios' recent Disney+ series, X-Men '97, picked up two significant nominations.
The animated revival scored nominations for Outstanding New Program and Outstanding Achievement in Family Programming.
Though X-Men '97 proved to be a big hit with fans and critics alike, it's rare that an animated series - and a superhero animated series at that - would receive any TCA recognition, especially outside of the Children's Programming category.
What are the mutant heroes' chances of picking up the win? Well, the show is up against some heavy hitters such as Shōgun, Baby Reindeer and Ripley, so, fittingly, they are the underdogs here.
Former showrunner Beau DeMayo shared the following post in response to the news.

Big Brother 25 alum Felicia Cannon has shared two new videos from her hospital room.
As previously reported by Monsters and Critics, Felicia has been in the hospital for colitis.
She had hoped to be there for only a few days, but her stay has stretched longer than she wanted.
Colitis is considered a chronic digestive disease. It is characterized by inflammation of the inner lining of the colon. It is an Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Ibd).
Felicia asked her followers for prayers in a recent post but has now followed that up with videos on how she is doing.
Big Brother fans met Felicia during the Summer 2023 season. She was bonded closely with Cirie Fields, and Felicia made it to fourth place on the BB25 cast.

Big Brother alums Janelle Pierzina and Britney Haynes tried to pull a fast one on reality TV fans.
And the joke turned out to be pretty funny.
As conjecture surfaced about The Traitors 3 cast, several posts popped up on social media about who might or might not be heading to Scotland.
It was very similar to how Danielle Reyes recently complained about not getting to play on The Traitors, only for fans to find out she was on the new cast.
This time, the story was pushed that Britney was in Greece vacationing, and her friend Janelle was there to help spin that narrative.
The amusing part about the joke was that anyone paying close attention could tell it was all a ruse.

The Traitors 3 cast list was revealed this morning.
With filming beginning in Scotland, Peacock surprised fans with the big revelation.
This past weekend, host Alan Cumming announced he had chosen the Traitors, and now we get a peak behind the curtain.
Speculation about who would be on the new cast has been floating around for a while.
The good news is that Peacock has 21 new reality TV stars playing the game this season.
The bad news is that we have to wait until the episodes debut.
Who is on The Traitors 3 cast?
The new players in Scotland include people from Big Brother, Survivor, The Real Housewives, Selling Sunset, The Bachelorette, RuPaul’s Drag Race, and Vanderpump Rules.
There is even a British Royal in the mix this year.
Alliances are key on a show like this, and having four people from Survivor at CBS and four people from The Real Housewives on Bravo should be interesting.

Hulu has to be pretty pleased with its list of new releases for June 2024. That’s because it’s about to be the summer of The Bear once again.
The Bear season 3 premieres all of its episodes on June 27 on Hulu. This FX dramedy has proven to be one of the most successful shows of its era. Jeremy Allen White stars as Carmy Berzatto, a world-famous chef who returns home to Chicago to help his floundering family restaurant after the death of his brother. Season 2 saw The Original Beef of Chicagoland crew transform the spot into fine dining establishment The Bear. It ruled. So will season 3 probably.
FX is responsible for the other major TV release on Hulu this month. Clipped premieres on June 4 and is about the scandalous real life story of Donald Sterling, the awful owner of the basketball team the Los Angeles Clippers. Another intriguing TV option...

Big Brother couple Jordan Lloyd and Jeff Schroeder have a podcast about life, family, and their time on TV.
In a bonus episode of their podcast Togethermess, they answered some questions from fans.
One particular question had them revealing the most misunderstood things about themselves.
For Big Brother fans who need a reminder about Jeff and Jordan, they were part of the BB11 cast in 2009.
Jordan won BB11 over Natalie Matinez, and Jeff was named America’s Favorite Houseguest. Jordan and Jeff were also in a showmance that developed into more in the real world.
The couple returned for BB13, where Jordan finished fourth place and Jeff finished seventh. Rachel Reilly won that season over runner-up Porsche Briggs.
Since then, Jeff and Jordan have been on The Amazing Race, gotten married, and had two kids.
A special Q&a episode of Togethermess

As we head into the summer, Hulu is shaping up to be one of the most valuable streaming services to have in the month of June. Not only is one of the best shows on television returning for its third season, but the Disney-owned general entertainment platform is also launching a new comedy banner, and FX goes behind the scenes of one of the most explosive situations in recent sports history.
“The Bear” will drop all 10 of its Season 3 episodes on June 27 in what is undoubtedly one of the year’s most anticipated releases. However, that is not the only hot title coming to Hulu in June, the streamer will also launch its “Hulu’s Laughing Now” brand, the sports-focused series “Clipped” that dramatizes the downfall of Donald Sterling as the owner of the LA Clippers, and the documentary “Brats” that brings together members of the legendary Brat Pack to chronicle their rise to fame.

June is busting out all over, especially on streaming. Whether it’s hiding from the heat or taking a break from school and work, Disney+ and Hulu are here to satisfying your mid-year entertainment needs.
Disney+ will premiere the first new live-action Star Wars since 2023’s middling to “The Mandalorian” Season 3 and “Ahsoka” with “The Acolyte,” starring “Squid Game” breakout Lee Jung-jae. The series is set before the events of “The Phantom Menace” with a familiar master-padawan storyline but new characters and a new era where that dynamic unfolds. The streamer will also premiere various new options for kids and family-friendly programming, as well as new episodes of “Doctor Who” starring Ncuti Gatwa.
On Hulu, FX comes in hot for the summer, along with an adaptation of Candice Carty-Williams’s “Queenie,” the brat-pack documentary “Brats,” and yes — more “Love Island.” The TV and film library continues to shift with new and expiring titles,...

Rod and Leticia Gardner entered the final leg on “The Amazing Race 36” on a high. They had won the penultimate leg after Leticia crushed the windsurfing Roadblock and things were going well on the last leg in Philadelphia — until they got to Betsy Ross House. Each team member had to memorize and recite sections of the preamble of the Declaration of Independence, and Rod struggled. A lot.
“He never wants to look at it again,” Leticia quips to Gold Derby (watch above).
“I was like, man, this is one thing that doesn’t play to my strengths,” Rod says. “I could not remember that Declaration to save my life.”
The former NFL wide receiver doesn’t recall how many attempts he made, but they were there for a long time — long enough for Juan and Shane, who took an accidental detour to New Jersey to catch up. “We wanted our...

Vinny Cagungun proposed to his girlfriend, Amber Craven, after their fourth-place finish in The Amazing Race finale on Wednesday, May 15, which surprised viewers given the couple’s frequent arguments throughout the season. However, Cagungun has claimed the arguments were taken “out of context” and blamed the producers for cutting up different parts of the edit to make the conflicts appear worse than they really were. “I learned what a frankenbite is pretty much, where they just cut you up with a bunch of different edits and take it really, really out of context,” Cagungun told Us Weekly on Thursday (May 16), one day after the finale aired on CBS. “A lot of the conflict that we got to see, for me, was very, very surprising because the narrative that we had as we went through the race was very, very different,” he added. Even though he felt the edit took things out of context,...

“The Amazing Race” couple Amber Craven and Vinny Cagungun may not have had the smoothest journey to their fourth place finish Wednesday night, but they capped it off in style with a marriage proposal on the mat in front of host Phil Keoghan.
“I was in shock,” Amber says. “I think I blacked out because I don’t really remember what you said. All I remember was you getting on one knee. I was like, ‘What is going on? Y’all are being so weird right now.’ Then you got down on one knee and I was like, ‘Ahh, it makes sense.'”

Season 36 of “The Amazing Race” came to an unsurprising end on Wednesday night when boyfriends Ricky Rotandi and Cesar Aldrete took home the $1 million grand prize. The dominant 34-year-olds won a total of seven legs throughout the race, never finishing worse than second place until Ricky’s windsurfing nightmare halfway through the season finale.
“It really was surreal,” Ricky says about meeting host Phil Keoghan at the mat for the last time. Cesar adds, “As a superfan, just having the chance to be in the race. Going through the casting process, being told yes and then getting ready. Giving assigned our color, that for me was really special. We get there, we get our handkerchiefs, we get our fanny packs! Everything was very special.”

Juan Villa and Shane Bilek came up one spot short of the $1 million on “The Amazing Race 36,” but they did make history. During the final leg in Philadelphia, the military pilots were supposed go to the epicenter of one of America’s greatest rivalries — the corner between cheesesteak joints Pat’s and Geno’s — but they drove all the way to New Jersey instead. That lengthy detour cost them an hour and they knew they weren’t going to come in first once they realized they were in another state.
“We had our moment to kind of understand the gravity of what just happened: We lost a million bucks,” Shane tells Gold Derby (watch above). “And we took our three to four minutes in the car and then we were like, ‘Ok, that was good. Compartmentalize it. And now move on. We’re going back to Philly. We have stuff to do.

Hey, "The Amazing Race" fans. Tonight, May 15, 2024, the very last episode for The Amazing Race's current season 36 did indeed hit the air, and we finally found out who won this season at the end. Tonight's new episode kicked off with the teams starting things off at Sosúa Beach in the Dominican Republic. The teams were on a catamaran, waiting to dive into the water to get their next clue. When they got their clue, they got hit with some detour challenges. They got to choose to do either the "Dive Trip" or "Rum Sip" detour. In the "Dive Trip" detour, the teams had to correctly assemble diving equipment to get their next clue. In the "Rum Sip" detour, the teams had to correctly prepare drinks to get their next clue. After the teams successfully completed their detours, they were told to go to Cabarete Beach to get their next clue.

With just four duos left, Season 36 of The Amazing Race is anyone’s for the taking. But who’s got what it takes to leave the other teams in the dirt and snatch that big prize?
The penultimate leg kicks off with a deep dive at Sosua Beach in the Dominican Republic. The first Detour gives them a choice between assembling diving rigs and crafting some tasty cocktails. All four teams choose the cocktails. (Who can blame them? Though I doubt any sampling is allowed on the race. Their loss is the pirates’ gain!). After Ricky and Cesar whip through their drinks,...
