After watching something called Hellzapoppin', I then decided to watch something called Heavenzapoppin'! that Leonard Maltin recommended a year or so ago. Written, directed, and starring Robert Watzke, it mixes black-and-white silent film with modern sound color stock in a story that doesn't really make too much sense but is plenty funny much of the time! Among other players are Helen Slater and Bruno Kirby. It basically has the silent characters encountering their real-life counterparts with the silent ones not saying a word even in the real world! I don't really want to say much more than that but since there are supposed to be ten lines for this review to be submitted, I'll just now say I highly recommend Heavenzapoppin'!
