A masterpiece by a genius director
The director, Manuel Cirerol Sansores does a fantastic job in directing this masterpiece. His ability to pick the perfect angles is far greater than modern day directing, and it is a shame that his talents cannot be enjoyed with todays technology. The film making is imaginative and keeps the audience on the edge of their seat. The lack of sound goes relatively unnoticed with the viewer encapsulated by the brilliance in front of them. A first rate documentary from Mexico like no other, and would not look out of place in modern day cinemas, although with it being in black and white some younger viewers may be put off by it. If you can watch this then do, you will not regret it. Carnaval 1925 is one of the best films I have ever seen, I give it 10 out of 10.
