During the barfight scene, the bartender calls his roommate, Curtis, and says, "Hey, Curtis! It's Joey. Your room mate, Joey... You know that new sound you were looking for? Well, listen to this." He holds the phone out to pick up the sound of an LP being scratched back and forth. This is an homage to the 1985 film, "Back To The Future", when Marty McFly is improvising on stage with a guitar. A backstage worker, Marvin Berry, calls his cousin, Chuck Berry, and says the same thing, "...You know that new sound you've been looking for? Well, listen to this." He holds the phone out toward the stage to pick up Marty's guitar playing.
In "Chasing Christmas", Tom Arnold plays Jack Cameron, who has the same last name as Candace Cameron, who plays his on-screen daughter in Moonlight & Mistltoe(2008).
In one scene, Tom Arnold's character says a toast to "hot tubs and time travel". This film predates "Hot Tub Time Machine" (2010) by five years.
