The “Destiny” lore will soon be bound in a hardcover book titled the “Destiny Grimoire Anthology,” Bungie announced Thursday on its Twitter.
For players, the “Destiny” lore could be unlocked via Grimoire Cards, but had to read the unlocked stories online (and off-game)– Not exactly the most ideal way to immerse players into the world. While there were “threads” of the story hidden throughout the game, as Bungie puts it, to get the deeper story players would have to engage with content outside of the game.
We are proud to announce an upcoming Destiny Grimoire Anthology.

I’m going to come out and say it, Sleepy Hollow faithful, and you can holler if you hear me: I don’t care about Pandora’s origin story.
So the fact that this week’s episode spends so much time establishing Mrs. Hidden One’s backstory is a bit of a bummer, especially because the hour also includes a real breakthrough in the Witnesses’ relationship. Wouldn’t it have been cool if the show have devoted more time to exploring Abbie’s important revelation?
But if wishes were golden hourglasses, we’d all ride, I suppose. (Or be omnipotent.

If you were a PlayStation member during the very well known 2011 Psn hack, you can recieve another free item thanks to a class action lawsuit.
The 2011 hack had the PlayStation Network down for a very long extended time, and users were not thrilled about it. People still talk about it to this day, and the fear is always there when another hack happens. Thankfully beefed up security seems to be doing it's job.
That being said, Sony still had to go through another class action lawsuit for the event and it just now ended. Thanks to the settlement you can now recieve a free game or free selection of themes. Note this is an entirely new settlement, not the same as before with the "welcome back" rewards Sony gave to users when the Psn came back online. The selection includes PS3 and PSP titles.

Dark Mirror
Stars: Lisa Vidal, David Chisum, Joshua Pelegrin, Lupe Ontiveros, Christine Lakin | Written by Matthew Reynolds, Pablo Proenza | Directed by Pablo Proenza
Originality in horror can be hard to come by; a lot has been done before so it’s hard to come up with new things. Sometimes though there are ways to manipulate reality in ways and add extra dimensions that create a whole new world where anything can happen. This is something that Dark Mirror tries to do.
Deborah Martin is a photographer who moves into a house with her family. The house used to be the home of an enigmatic artist who disappeared with his wife; local legend says before he disappeared he may have in fact killed his wife. When taking pictures around the house Deborah takes a photograph of a mirror in the bedroom and from that point things start getting strange, like doors...

Originally unleashed back in 2007, “Dark Mirror” is a low key psychodrama horror, which now makes a belated arrival on UK region 2 DVD via Arrow Films. The film was directed by Pablo Proenza, who worked as an editor on the Michael Moore documentary “Capitalism: A Love Story”, and stars in the lead “E.R.” actress Lisa Vidal, along with television actor David Chisum, Christine Lakin (who some may remember from way back when in the television series “Step by Step”) and Joshua Pelegrin. Vidal plays Debbie, a woman who relocates from Seattle to Southern California with her husband Jim (David Chisum) and young son Ian (Joshua Pelegrin), moving into a house with mesmerising stained glass windows. A photographer looking for work, Debbie snaps herself looking in the bathroom mirror, with the window in the background, and experiences an oddly hallucinatory effect, after which she starts seeing strange visions of a hooded figure.

The Avengers is still reaping boy-band cash in theaters. But the all-seeing eye of the Internet has already shifted forward to 2013, when Marvel will release the Iron Man threequel and the Thor sequel. Earlier this month, Iron Man 3 officially signed James Badge Dale — better known as “the quietly heroic guy from The Pacific,” “the quietly paranoid guy from Rubicon,” and “the dude who got his hand chopped off on 24.” Official word was that Dale was playing Eric Savin, a soldier in the comic books who was fatally injured in combat, only to be resurrected by the magic of ’80s...

Esrb listings reveal PS3 and PSP classics heading to Sony tablets.
Sony appears to be wisely using its ready-made library of classic titles to fill out the list of games available for use on the Sony Tablet S, with Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror and Daxter recently receiving certification by the Esrb for Playstation Certified devices. They're joined by Fl0W as part of the opening salvo of current-gen and handheld titles joining the PSOne releases already available for their tablets.
Crash Bandicoot comes preloaded on the device along with Pinball Heroes on the Android Honeycomb-powered device. PSOne gaming is still relatively new to the device after a December update which provided a free download of an Ape Escape minigame collection, but this could be a pretty good sign that Sony is looking to flesh out the library beyond 10-year-old or more releases. Currently, there's no date or pricing on the...

What we know is that, overall, Video On Demand (VOD) is a success. Millions of households are willing to pay $5 to watch a movie at home typically a couple of weeks before it's available on DVD (or months before it's available on Netflix). Now that video stores are all but obsolete, VOD (and often iTunes) offers the only real opportunity to see certain films. Moreover, given IFC's obsession with the format, the channel must be raking it in.
How well it's actually doing is something of a mystery. VOD grosses are almost impossible to find, and the scores of movies that debut first on VOD before a small limited release in theaters can't be doing well during their box-office runs, either (I've yet to see a film released first on VOD later find success at the box office). I have found a couple of examples of box-office bombs that thrived on VOD,...

Osiris Entertainment will distribute and this film, from visual effects master Greg Derochie (Alice in Wonderland), is a suspenseful ride through one woman's constantly changing psyche. An independent film from writer and director Pablo Proenza "Dark Mirror," is a light horror outing from first time production company Cut Glass Productions. Released in a limited fashion the film now finds itself with IFC Films Video on Demand feature. Offering the deconstruction of housewife Deborah (Lisa Vidal) at the hands of vengeful spirits "Dark Mirror," gently slaps the viewership to attention with a psychological journey through paranoid delusion and altered perspectives.
Conflicted housewife and aspiring careerist Deborah entertains thoughts of hidden doorways to further dimensions while emotionally breaking down in front of her young son and husband. Looking through glass skews the central character's look on reality while a mythos involving trapped spirits is offered with half-confidence. Adding murder, and suicide with psychological twists the reality is left to the viewer. Is Deborah paranoid or the victim of spiritual possession?...

Chicago – The great IFC Direct On Demand has an excellent slate of films airing this month called “IFC Midnight” and we got a chance to see them all to give you a heads up on what’s worth a look. Much to our surpise, while none are perfect, they all are interesting enough to warrant an On Demand purchase.
Rating: 4.0/5.0 The best of the bunch is South Korea’s “The Chaser,” a film that won seven Korean film awards including Best Picture, Director, Actor and Screenplay last year and was a massive box office hit in its own country. The film also premiered at Cannes in the Official Selection category and we snapped up for a remake by the producers of “The Departed” and Warner Brothers. There have even been rumors of Leonardo DiCaprio taking one of the roles in the remake.

Pablo Proenza’s Dark Mirror is a film that will feel rather familiar to genre fans; its central elements have been used often in horror history. But when done right, there’s nothing wrong with exploring concepts we all know and love, especially when they’re executed with an excellent actress and an all-around talented crew.
Scripted by Proenza and Matthew Reynolds, Dark Mirror (which debuted this week as an IFC Films video-on-demand title) follows Deborah Martin (Lisa Vidal), an out-of-work photographer and mother who moves with her family into a new home in sunny California. She has rejected a large number of houses that her husband Jim (David Chisum) has taken her to see, but this one prompts her to impulsively agree. The place proves, however, to have a dark past that begins to exert a sinister hold over Deborah and her perceptions. The goings-on appear connected with its glass and mirrors,...

I would like to thank first time director Mr. Proenza, from the bottom of my heart, for the scene in which the incredibly tasty Tammy (Christine Lakin) stands in her bikini, holding a pistol in her hand, and play acts a heist: cheers mate, here’s to you, won't forget it. Beyond that, and except for an excellent last 15 minutes, Dark Mirror is an unoriginal and not at all scary supernatural suspense involving:
1. Mirrors
2. An evil presence behind the aforesaid mirrors.
3. A newly moved in family, only one of whom sees the spooky stuff.
Photographer-by-trade Deborah (Lisa Vidal), husband (David Chisum) and son have moved into a new house to which Debs is strangely attracted. In the bathroom, she finds two opposing mirrors reflecting to infinity, and she shoots off...

Whether you're tired of people texting during the movie, want to relax on your couch or have a fear of catching swine flu, there's plenty of entertainment options that you can enjoy from the comfort of your own home this summer, whether it's On Demand, Online, or On DVD. A helpful guide is below, and don't forget our look at the indie films that are hitting theaters this summer.
On Demand
Our sister company IFC Films will have quite the busy summer, providing at least one film a week to watch on demand and nowhere else. The company's Festival Direct summer schedule recently kicked off with the Robert Pattinson teen drama "How to Be," and will be followed on May 6th by the premieres of Pablo Proenza's haunted house thriller "Dark Mirror" and the Patrick Wilson-Amy Smart romantic dramedy "Life In Flight," which premiered at last year's Tribeca Film Festival.

IFC Films, which has previously brought the likes of Larry Fessenden’s The Last Winter and Eric Nicholas’ Alone With Her to big and small screens, has announced a full lineup of fright fare for its Festival Direct video-on-demand service. These join such previously announced titles as the very different zombie movies Pontypool and Dead Snow, which hit VOD the same days they open in limited theatrical release (May 29 and June 12 respectively), and such VOD-only offerings as The Objective, Nightmare and Sauna.
Debuting April 8 and available on-demand through July 7 will be Hush (pictured), from British writer/director Mark Tonderai, in which a young couple on a road trip become the prey of a deranged truck driver. Look for a set-visit report on this film in Fango #285, on sale in June.
Following in May are Dark Mirror and Cadaver, part of the IFC Festival Direct Midnight series. Dark Mirror (available May 6-August 4), from director Pablo Proenza,...

The director just gave us a heads up that there's a new trailer available for this indie and it looks even better then the last footage we saw. As we reported on the teaser before, not only has IFC picked this little diddy up, but Variety called it a "tour de force". Why? I don't know yet, but here at the Quiet Earth offices we've already got a screener so we'll be bringing you a review soon. Long live indie film!

Don't worry. This has nothing to do with Keifer Sutherland, folks. Instead, reflect on the trailer, one sheet and official website for director Pablo Proenza's Dark Mirror. As you may have guessed, the film is about a mirror with a reflection that holds an alternate reality and when discovered by a photographer (Lisa Vidal) things get pretty unmanageable. Check out the trailer, one sheet and the website and you tell us: Is it too little too late after Alexandre Aja's Mirrors? Or would you like to take another look?...

What is it about mirrors that inspire so much fright? I'm not talking about seeing your reflection for the first time each day after waking up with a hangover and a bag of Cheetos stuck to your chin by dried saliva either. I'm talking evil things lurking behind it, man!
Director Pablo Proenza has some serious malevolence in mind for his new film Dark Mirror, and as a result the official one sheet for the movie went live on the official Dark Mirror website. Dig on it and the trailer below.
Dark Mirror tells the tale of a photographer (Lisa Vidal) who moves her family into a strange old house, where she discovers an alternate reality reflected in the glass ... A dark reality that is closing in on her.
