When Adama first goes to interrogate Baltar, the guard on duty approaches the door to open it but the door is already opening before he has chance to use his security key.
At the heart of the plot lies a theme reminiscent of the very first outing, Saga of a Star World (1978), that the military forces once again have to stand back in favor of a display of unarmed pacifism. Not a single character mentions that history could so easily repeat itself. Adama, Apollo, Starbuck, Tigh, if properly presented, at the very least they would have lamented this obvious mistake the Council is ruling in favor of implementing.
