Not the most memorable episode but enough happens to keep viewer interest. I waited a week to write the review and had to be reminded of the plot details. Bosley's old card game friend Claire has been pouring money into a psychic institute because she believes they can contact her nephew who died tragically in a motorcycle accident. There is some question just how nice this young man was in the first place, and Bosley does discover some unfavorable facts about him.
Much like the UFO episode in season 2, this involves scammers.
Sabrina plays a fake psychic, Kris plays a fake researcher on psychic phenomena, and Kelly investigates a cheesy TV psychic named Peter Russell, played by respected character actor Peter Donat. Over the course of an hour and murder is committed during one of these psychic events and there's a big mystery as to why and how it happened. It's even possible a ghost could have done it.
Kris shares a romantic interest with Eric Knight, one of the institute's resident psychics. He seems like the real deal as he picks up on the fact that Kris is not who she says she is. Sabrina has the big discovery in this one, using her intuition to uncover a conspiracy.
Overall this not a fast-paced plot, it's one built around a mystery that takes a little while to unfold. The main lesson seems to be that if something is too good to be true it probably is. And the Angels will always find out if you're up to something.
