- TriviaMacaulay Culkin provides the voice of Elliot, the prank caller at the beginning of the episode. He calls in to the show saying the problem is that he is a salesman with a young voice, causing Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) to apologize, and Culkin replies, "Ha Gotcha Dr. Doufus". Macaulay's brother Kieran Culkin also plays the part of a caller during season 4.
- GoofsFrasier and Niles are repairing the ball-cock assembly in the toilet, which they have to install by "threading through the tank hole." So clearly the toilet tank is empty. They then proceed to flush the toilet without ever turning the water back on or giving the tank a chance to fill.
- Quotes
Frasier: You know the expression, "Living well is the best revenge"?
Niles: It's a wonderful expression. I just don't know how true it is. You don't see it turning up in a lot of opera plots. "Ludwig, maddened by the poisoning of his entire family, wreaks vengeance on Gunther in the third act by living well."
Frasier: All right, Niles.
Niles: "Whereupon Woton, upon discovering his deception, wreaks vengeance on Gunther in the third act again by living even better than the Duke."
Frasier: Oh, all right!
- Crazy creditsWhen the title "Frasier" (in red letters) and the usual silhouette of Seattle are on screen, an animated elevator rises up inside the Space Needle.

I also think the reconciliation-while played for laughs-has just enough pathos to be touching. This isn't a sentimental episode but it is close to one.
