- A young man, Frank Edwards, rents a room in a house and wears a cape with a jewel he sees in the room. Out of the blue, he becomes irresistible to women and the landlady, who is a vampire, bites him. Meanwhile, Jack locates the cursed cape and goes with Ryan and Micki to the house. However, they arrive late and have to fight Jack, who has already turned into a vampire, and the landlady. Ryan succeeds to stab her with the For Rent stake while Micki tries to take Jack's cape. Ryan and Micki are befriended by the young writer Abraham and his beloved wife Caitlin. They invite Ryan and Micki to stay with them at their home, while Frank kills a prostitute to suck her blood. - Jack has located a cursed cape in a house on Bay Street. Jack, Micki, and Ryan pay the landlady a visit in an attempt to get it back. Unfortunately, the new renter, Frank Edwards [Tom McCamus], has already tried on the cape, which has the power to make him irresistable to women, and the landlady (herself a vampire) has put her bite on Frank. When Micki, Ryan, and Jack show up, the landlady swipes Micki's face with her claws. Ryan stakes the landlady with her "For Rent" sign, while Micki tries to get the cape from Frank. Unfortunately, she falls under his spell, and their bloods mix and drip on the cape's clasp. Just as Ryan tackles Frank to free Micki, they all three disappear.
Micki, Ryan, and Frank have been transported to 1875 London. It's a foggy night in mid-March, and Micki and Ryan are stranded on the cold, cobblestoned streets with no money and no place to stay until a kindly young Irish writer named Abraham [Kevin Bundy], who thinks there might be a story behind these two Americans, offers to put them up in the small, second-story flat he shares with his new wife Caitlin [Susannah Hoffman].
In the meantime, Frank has found a prostitute on whom to quench his thirst. As Ryan explains to Abraham and Caitlin how he and Micki came to London after a vampire and, still seeming a bit spellbound, Micki bemoans the difficulties involved in getting back to 1987, people in the streets have banded together to hunt down the vampire who left the prostitute drained of blood. Abraham, although he doesn't believe in vampires but is always on the lookout for a good story, joins the crowd along with Micki and Ryan. The vampire has taken refuge in an old warehouse. As dawn approaches, Ryan, Micki, and Abraham notice that the chain on the warehouse door has been broken. Micki, apparently in mental contact with Frank, knows that he's in there, so they open the door and go inside. Micki leads them to Frank who, after flinging off the cape, has turned into a hideous monster with no recourse but to put the cape back on, restoring his face to his old, irresistible self.
When they all meet up, Ryan attempts to stake the vampire but Frank is too powerful and tosses Ryan across the room. Abraham forces the vampire to back off by lunging at him with a string of garlic, which gives Ryan a chance to grab Micki and run. Micki doesn't want to leave, but Ryan drags her screaming towards the door, the vampire in pursuit. Just as Frank catches up with Micki, Ryan opens the warehouse door, letting the morning sun stream in. Frank retreats, and Ryan, Micki, and Abraham escape.
Certain that the only way to release Micki from the vampire's spell is to get back the cape, Ryan leaves Micki with Caitlin, and he and Abraham return to the warehouse looking for Frank. All they find, however, is another body drained of blood. Now that the sun has set, Frank has gone looking for Micki, the love of his unlife. Meanwhile, Caitlin has seen a mist-shrouded face floating outside the window, and Micki is ecstatically awaiting her vampire lover. As Ryan and Abraham race back to their flat, Caitlin hears footsteps on the roof. Suddenly, Frank appears in the doorway. When Caitlin attempts to shield Micki with her body, the vampire grabs her by the throat. By the time Ryan and Abraham get there, Caitlin is dead and Micki is missing.
Abraham is desolate, and he kicks Ryan out. Ryan knows what he must do. Stake in hand, he returns to the warehouse where the vampire is about to put the bite on a very willing Micki. At that moment, Ryan tries to stake the vampire from behind, but Frank turns and places Ryan in a chokehold, lifting him up off the floor. Suddenly, Frank collapses to the floor. Abraham has staked him from behind. Micki screams in sorrow, but she is released from the vampire's spell. Ryan grabs the cape, and the three make their goodbyes. Micki and Ryan mix their blood together on the cape's clasp, and they are immediately transported back to the house on Bay Street where Jack is waiting.
Epilogue: Jack is pumping Ryan and Micki for details of their time travel, but they remember very little. Jack asks them if they know Abraham and Caitlin's last name because Jack suspects that Abraham might have gone on to write one of the greatest masterpieces of all time. Jack hands Micki a copy of _Dracula_ by Bram Stoker. "Bram" is short for "Abraham," Jack points out, and the inscription inside reads: To Caitlin, The Only Woman I Will Ever Love.
