- Elisa Maza: Oberon wasn't too thrilled when I pulled my piece. Too bad I was only bluffing, I've been out of bullets for weeks. Of course, for him I guess they'd have to be silver bullets.
- Princess Katherine: No. Silver be for vampires and weres. For the Children, cold iron will do.
- Elisa Maza: Iron?
- Guardian: Oberon's children have always been vulnerable to it. Aye and Oberon himself as well.
- Elisa Maza: [looking at her gun] This is steel alloy with a little iron. That's why Oberon pulled back when I drew on him!
- Guardian: Yes! Recall that when the Magus faced the Weird Sisters, he bound them by iron chains.
- Princess Katherine: Those chains might still be here, somewhere.
- Guardian: And we have a forge with which to shape them into a weapon!
- Elisa Maza: [Gives gun to Tom] Every little bit helps. The only question is, what kind of weapon?
- Princess Katherine: At least you have Avalon to come home to.
- Elisa Maza: But it's not my home.
- [to Goliath]
- Elisa Maza: It's not *our* home!
- Titania: Then grant them the opportunity to save themselves. Help them, but fairly. Reducing your power to give them a fighting chance.
- Oberon: When I can wipe them from the isle with a gesture? Why bother with such foolish fairness?
- Titania: Because if you win my Lord, I will stand by your side again.
- Oberon: You would once again be my wife and wear my ring?
- Titania: And you who are merely my lord, shall once more be my husband. But take heed, should they win and sound the knell of your defeat, some other ring must then be your reward.
- Oberon: An amusing bargain, my lady. Very well.
- Goliath: Lady Titania, our thanks.
- Oberon: You are wise to thank her while you may, gargoyle.
- Goliath: We have no desire to fight you, Oberon.
- Oberon: Do it or die where you stand!
- Angela: Not much of a choice.
- Gabriel: Better than none!
- Goliath: I agree!
- Oberon: Very well.
- Titania: You three shall match my lord Oberon. Avalon's Lord be thou enchained/Thy power to child's strength restrained/Til hunt be done and issue known/This contest won by craft alone.
- Gabriel: I don't like running away from a fight!
- Goliath: Consider it a strategic withdrawal. We must buy ourselves some time.
- Angela: Why? You heard the Queen. Oberon's no stronger than a child now.
- Goliath: As strong as any of Oberon's children now, Angela. Which is *more* than enough to give us trouble!
- Princess Katherine: Let us not argue. Titania, herself, gave us the clue. We have no choice but to trust her.
- Guardian: No choice... And only *one* chance.
- Guardian: We'll have our weapon soon.
- Ophelia: But what gives the right to use it?
- Princess Katherine: Ophelia! We are protecting our family, our home. Oberon is no more than...
- Ophelia: The proper Lord of Avalon. And he's not an outside aggressor like the Archmage. To him *we* are the invaders.
- Elisa Maza: Maybe, but he did abandon Avalon 1000 years ago. I think he gave up his rights to this place.
- Guardian: Unfortunately, I fear Lord Oberon does not see it that way.
- Oberon: [to Princess Katherine] You could have obliterated us, and yet did not. Strange behavior for your breed. Such an example of generosity is worth rewarding. Stay then, with our blessing, all of you.
- [Walks to Goliath]
- Oberon: And henceforth Goliath, you and your clan shall be immune to my arts and shall become the Honor Guard of Avalon from this day onward.
- Goliath: I thank you my Lord.
- Titania: You have nothing to fear from him now, Goliath. In Avalon, Oberon's word is law.
- Princess Katherine: Does that mean he's alway right?
- Titania: Not while he's married.
- Goliath: All's well that ends well then. But one thing puzzles me still, my Lady. Why did you aide us?
- Titania: To repay a favor rendered.
- Goliath: But we have never met before.
