Without wheels, Hazell has to rely on taxis to get to his latest job. He feels ripped off by an asian taxi driver who also demands a customary tip.
Hazell has been hired by a disabled ex soldier Captain Baldwin to look for a missing person, Everton Johnson. Someone might not have been seen for about 20 years and there is a bonus for Hazell if he is found within two weeks.
Hazell goes to the area of London where Everton last hung about, he was in the army and he did some boxing.
Hazell later realises that Captain Baldwin is a leader of a neo nazi party and he was not rendered disabled in the line of fire. Everton might had something to do with it and he is a black man.
The episode was written by wrestler turned actor Brian Glover. He appears as a volatile ex boxer.
Glover was married to a wife who was of Indian origin. Maybe the producers thought that Glover was the right person to deal with an episode dealing with racial issues. It was cack handed.
When Hazell goes to a shopkeeper to find out more about Everton Johnson. The whole segment is full of casual racism from the shopkeeper who Everton once worked as a paperboy.
The shopkeeper refuses to serve a black boy for a long time who then later steals from him. There is just a lot of cynicism about the whole episode even though it has an anti racial message.
Another big problem was that there was a lot of talking in this episode. We never see Everton Johnson but he had important information that could do damage to Captain Baldwin.
