The Yuma Kid and his gang rob the bank of $40,000 and head for the barren desert. They destroy the only water hole and think they are safe. Tonto and The Ranger find the water hole destroyed. When the sheriff and his posse show up, they think our heroes are part of the gang. The Ranger and Tonto get the drop on them. They leave the hapless posse with a little water while they continue the pursuit. When the Yuma Kid is overtaken, the Ranger disguises himself as an old prospector who tells The Kid that they have found a huge gold mine and will share it with the outlaws in exchange for some water. Even with $40,000 burning a hole in his pocket, The Kid wants that gold too! The group continues on to the hideout where the remainder of the gang is waiting with plenty of water. Now, how to get the drop on these slimy road agents? The Yuma Kid and his gang are made up of some very familiar faces to western movie and TV series fans. House Peters, Jr., Lane Bradford, John Cason (billed as Bob Cason), and Charles Horvath. Each of them appeared in numerous westerns, and all made more than one appearance on The Lone Ranger series. Also, in a small role as Deputy Sam, is none other than former B-western cowboy star Kermit Maynard. An outstanding cast in this episode.
