The Durango Kid has broken out of prison and now swears revenge on Judge Scott, who sentenced him to life. Judge Scott lives in room 13 of the hotel, right across the hall from Molly O'Connell, a woman who has come west looking for her long lost brother. The Kid robs the express office and steals a small amount of money, along with everything that was in express agent Larry Courtland's pockets. When the posse goes out looking for The Kid, he slips back into town and takes Molly hostage in her room, waiting for Judge Scott to return to the hotel. The Ranger and Tonto are on the scene though, and soon figure out that The Kid is hiding in Molly's room. But she mistakenly believes that he is her long lost brother. That's really going to complicate matters! It's interesting that the outlaw is called The Durango Kid. Charles Starrett made the last of his numerous Durango Kid B-western movies in 1952. This episode was first shown in April, 1953. That's pretty close to the same time frame and could have confused the many young viewers. Nan Leslie plays Molly. She was a frequent guest star on The LR TV series, making eight appearances. This is her biggest and best role of the eight. An excellent episode well worth watching.
