- TriviaLou walks in on Mary and she is seen in the bathtub. In a Never Bathe on Saturday (1965) of The Dick Van Dyke Show (1961), Mary Tyler Moore's character Laura Petrie found herself stuck in a bathtub, although the audience never saw her as they do here. According to Carl Reiner for years people told him they remember seeing Mary in the bathtub on the Dick van Dyke show.
- GoofsLou comes to Mary's to check on her and her phone is off the hook with a busy signal. When he finds Mary, he says he tried to call and the operator told him the phone is off the hook. A telephone does not emit a busy signal when it's left off the hook. There would've been a dial tone, loud beeping, or silence.

Mary Gets Hooked
Mary is a mess. She hasn't slept in days and is falling apart. The doctor has given her sleeping pills and she is hooked on them. Lou realizes this and decides to do something about it. He counsels her but she continues. Meanwhile, in order to get Ted to read a speech for his daughter's class, Murray agrees to not insult Ted anymore. This almost kills him as Ted keeps delivering the straight lines and Murray can't respond. There is one of the funniest three minutes in this show, when Lou, thinking something is wrong, goes to Mary's house and finds her in the bathroom, taking a bath. Soon he is joined by Murray and Ted. A really funny scene.
