- GoofsSue Ann claims there isn't a name for the celluloid things on the end of shoe laces. They do have a name: aglets. The modern plastic forms were patented in 1790, but they've been around since at least the Roman era when they were made of glass, metal or stone, to keep the ends of laces and ribbons from fraying and help secure them. As the Happy Homemaker, this is something she would usually know.

A Little Like the Bataan Death March
Mary is excited because there is a good chance that WJM will be interviewing Prince Charles. Meanwhile, Sue Ann is working her wiles to get Lou to come to her house for dinner. Anyway, the Prince Charles thing falls through, so Murray arranges for the King of the Gypsies to come. He is colorful drunk who has no idea what is going on. When he is asked how many Gypsies he is king of, he asks: "How many you got?" Su Ann gets Mary to work over Lou to get him to agree to the date. He is dead in the water and goes. Some pretty funny stuff happens.
