- TriviaBen says of an express car, "Split her open like a can of Arbuckle." Brothers John and Charles Arbuckle went into the coffee business in the 1860s, and in 1868, John patented a formula for an egg-based glaze that coated coffee beans, protecting them from the air. This allowed them to be the first merchants to sell packaged coffee. The Arbuckles sold packaged coffee under the Ariosa brand, which was popular in the western frontier, gaining the motto: "The Coffee that won the West".
- GoofsThis episode takes place in the Oregon Territory in 1872. However, the Oregon Territory ceased to exist when Oregon was admitted it to the Union on February 14, 1859.

The Control Voice: Will it be those seeking redemption who shall decide the future or will those driven only by greed and envy shape our destiny. Even a hundred years later, the outcome is still very much in doubt.

Don't Think Too Much
An alien (one of the typical Outer Limits lizard men) drops in on the Old West. He meets a parson on horseback, invades his body (as many good aliens can do) and proceeds to a small town. Meanwhile, a foursome of outlaws who have no respect for life, are on their way to divvy up some loot that lays buried. They have obviously killed people in cold blood and one of them is beginning to have regrets for the life he has chosen. He would like to sever ties with the other guys, especially after meeting a young widow with whom he has some history. Meanwhile, the parson/alien meets with the psychotic outlaw (played by Esai Morales) and his not so smart partner. He offers them the ability to destroy people with an intense look. Hence, they become invincible. They go on a murderous spree, killing the sheriff and a poor blacksmith who only wants to be finished for the day. Well, our extraterrestrial padre decides to give the good guy (murderer and thief) the same powers as his estranged cronies. This leads to some problems. Anyway, the conclusion is disappointing and full of unanswered questions. Oh, yes, there is a cute little boy and an old man around for plot development. One of the weaker offerings in the series.
