- TriviaThe Ramones were "gigantic obsessive Simpsons fans" and their characters were designed by Wesley Archer. Marky Ramone later called their appearance "a career highlight".
- GoofsThe "lights over Australia" would have to be prerecorded as evening in Springfield (regardless of what state its in!) would be daytime in Australia, especially on September 15.
- Quotes
Smithers: Here are several fine young men who I'm sure are going to go far. Ladies and gentlemen, the Ramones.
Mr. Burns: Ah, these minstrels will soothe my jangled nerves.
Joey Ramone: I'd just like to say this gig sucks!
Johnny Ramone: Hey, up yours, Springfield!
Joey Ramone: One, two, three, four!

Johnny Ramone, Christopher Ward: Happy birthday!
Joey Ramone: Happy birthday, Burnsey! Happy birthday...
Joey Ramone, Johnny Ramone, Christopher Ward: ...to you!
Christopher Ward: Go to hell, you old bastard!
Marky Ramone: Hey, I think they liked us.
Mr. Burns: Have the Rolling Stones killed.
Smithers: But sir, those aren't the...
Mr. Burns: Do as I say!
- Alternate versionsIn the episode "Rosebud" four scenes were cut out when shown in Australia. The scenes are: When Mr. Burns' guards charge the guests at his party with machine guns; When Barney comes to The Simpsons door threatening Homer with a gun; Where Homer gives Maggie a box to play with and takes it away from her; and the later reference to this when Homer is in bed wearing a box on his head.

This is a very strong episode with some great character moments and strong humour.
The Citizen Kane parody is exceptionally good and the basis for so much humour. Plus I love the references to historical figures in the context of Bobo's journey through time.
The humour is generally excellent with a number of standout moments like Mr Burns' birthday show, his various attempts to obtain the bear.
When Mr Burns interacts with Maggie near the end it gives the story a heartwarming conclusion to remember. I love how intelligent she is written and emotionally aware.
