- The SGC send a MALP to a huge pyramid and inside they discover a crystal skull like the one Jackson's grandfather found many years before. SG1 visit the planet and whilst Daniel is looking into the eyes of the skull, as his grandfather did, an energy field envelops him. Teal'c fires his Zat at the skull, but Daniel has disappeared. Carter collapses and the team minus Daniel return to the SGC. Teal'c returns to collect the crystal skull, but will he be able to find Daniel?—Anonymous
- In a pyramid of immense size that Teal'c never saw in Goa'uld construction, and which, against all known physics, emits leptons, a MALP discovers a crystal skull carved out of one piece, identical to the one found in a Mayan pyramid in 1971 by Daniel's grandfather, explorer Nicholas 'Nick' Ballard, who claimed looking at it one could see an alien. The skull emits muon-radiation, which Dr. Fraiser fears is a possible health risk. SG-1 goes get it, but Daniel disappears while looking into it, and Jack and Sam flee the rapidly rising radiation -just in time- back to earth. Teal'c, who fired his stun-staff at it in vain, returns to the planet pyramid, confidently hoping his symbiont will protect him, and retrieves the skull but can't see Daniel, who has reemerged but finds himself unable to be seen or heard by anyone after following Teal'c back through the stargate. Dr. Robert Rothman is ordered to report on the teleportation properties of the skull, but disbelieves its power, so Carter takes over and suggests they consult Nick Ballard, who is in a psychiatric institution. Sam visits Nick with Jack, but they cannot reveal any SGC-secrets, and he no longer expects anyone to take him seriously. When they tell him they have found an identical skull, he demands -and gets- to see it, then recounts his experience with giant aliens. Daniel discovers that Nick alone can see and hear him, and together they are heard; and they believe that they must travel to the pyramid using the device the way it was meant to be used.—KGF Vissers
- SG-1 travels to a planet where, inside a giant pyramid, they find a crystal skull. Daniel is particularly excited at the find as the skull is identical to one found on Earth by his grandfather, Nicholas Ballard, 27 years earlier. Ballard was convinced the skull was a communications device, and was ridiculed by his peers as a result. Inside the giant pyramid, Daniel gazes into the skull's eyes and suddenly vanishes. With radiation levels rising to an unacceptable level, they are forced to return to the SGC but don't realize that Daniel is actually with them, though out of phase and invisible. The solution to getting him back lies with Daniel's grandfather who has a good idea of what has happened.—garykmcd
- The SG1 finds a huge pyramid with high levels of radiation on a planet, but the MALP cannot get close enough to a crystal skull on a pedestal to return information. Daniel explains to the team that his grandfather, Nicholas "Nick" Ballard, had found a unique crystal skull in Belize and claimed that it possessed the power of teleporting a person who looks into its eyes to see aliens. However, he was discredited by the academic community since he was not able to repeat the experiment. The SG-1 decides to go to the pyramid to investigate the skull, despite increasing radiation levels. They are affected by the radiation, and when Daniel looks at the eyes of the skull, he is enveloped in a field of energy, so Teal'c shoots the skull. Daniel vanishes, and the SG-1 has to return to the SGC due to the radiation; however, Daniel is actually near the skull, but invisible to them. While they are recovering from the effects of the radiation at the SGC, Teal'c decides to return to the pyramid to get the skull and bring it to the SGC. Daniel comes with him but is still invisible to everyone. Sam suggests that Dr. Nicholas Ballard should be consulted but, Dr. Fraiser informs her that he is interned in a psychiatric facility in Oregon. Sam, Jack and Teal'c decide to visit Nick and bring him to the SGC as the last chance to bring Daniel back. Will they succeed?—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
