- When the SG-1 team discover a sealed chamber of nine dead Goa'uld, Daniel Jackson is exposed to the parasites that killed them and threaten to drive him insane.
- SG-1 discover nine Goa'uld corpses in a sealed chamber, and Teal'c identifies the crest as the nine Linvris, minor rivals of the system lords. While reading a tablet containing page one of some war plan, Daniel unknowingly gets infected by a parasite which gives him visual and auditive delusions back on earth. An epidemic of migraines causes the general to keep all SG teams on the base for examination. Daniel was already in a padded psych ward cell when, during a visit from his colleagues, he hears Ma'chello's voice say the parasite has left to enter its real target, a Goa'uld: Teal'c, for whose symbiont it is lethal. During examination of the page turner which released the designer organism, Jack, Dr. Fraiser and Sam get infected by several parasites, only Sam is found immune, even able to kill it by hosting it. The race is on to find how and hopefully use that mechanism to save the other three infected.—KGF Vissers
- When the SG-1 team explores an alien complex, they enter a tomb of sorts. They find the bodies of the Linvris, minor Goa'uld lords all of whom seem to have died from an infection of some sort. The trouble really begins when Daniel Jackson seems to have become infected as well. He has visions and is soon put into a padded cell in a psychiatric facility. The parasite is deadly for the Goa'uld but when Sam Carter is infected, the parasite dies, giving them hope a cure can be found.—garykmcd
