In the beginning when Max opens the whiskey bottle. He throws the cap away. In the next scene he is screwing the cap onto the bottle and tosses the bottle into a drawer.
When Max receives a phone call from his landlady, he has a cigarette in his left hand. It's still there as he hangs up the phone, but after a cut to another camera angle, the cigarette is gone.
As seen throughout the episode, young Pip (Bill Mumy) has unattached earlobes. The actor portraying the older Pip had attached earlobes (most notably visible at the end when he is sighting the rifle at the carnival). This would never occur short of surgical intervention.
When Max answers the ringing telephone in the hotel room and speaks to the landlady on the other end, he never pauses long enough between responses, that would allow her a chance to speak.
