There are a lot of electronic music related references in the series.
The LFO is the "low frequency oscillator" on synthesizers.
The Gekko-state LFO IDs are 606, 808 and 909 which are also type of Roland drum machines. Holland's LFO at the later episodes is the "303 Devilfish" what is also a reference for a Roland product, the TB303 bass synth and the "devilfish" was the most famous mod of it.
The type of the Gekko-Go is "SL 1200 MK2" what is also the type of the legendary Technics DJ turntable. (Not to mention the DJ booth with turntables in the social area of the ship)
Many elements of this series was directly inspired by the novel "Blood Music" by Greg Bear, one of the name sakes of the character Dr. Greg "Bear" Egan.
