The third story involving "3 dead girls" is "Human No More" where Tony Simmons now plays Detective Nemo, whose wife and child have been murdered. Yet again, Simmons is not recognizable from his other two roles and his acting is impeccable, his delivery flawless. Somebody please get this man to quit his day job.
This is the weakest of the three stories. It's largely a soliloquy about life and death, wherein "death is the penalty for living". The concepts are really very spiritual, and I have to comment once more that Broadstone is a gifted writer. As the only thing carrying this was the speech, it had to be good -- and was. The recording in the background was just bizarre and I couldn't really understand how it fit in.
The camera work was done in an artsy fashion. Sometimes this works, sometimes not so much. I wasn't convinced it was necessary here. Too many zooms and odd effects. I understood the reason it was done ,but it added nothing to the film and was largely distracting. The red hues and sepia were alright, but again not really something we needed. And the film takes a twist at the end which was not realistic at all... which is disappointing after seeing how much effort was put into the effects for the first two films.
While "Human No More" wasn't as good as "My Skin!", and "My Skin!" wasn't quite as good as "Scream For Me", all three are respectable films and together as "3 Dead Girls" really form a collection that deserves to be seen.
