- Promotional short for the feature film Oliver! (1968).
- A behind-the-scenes look at the set and the making of "Oliver!" (1968). Included here are ensemble dance scenes and scenes of London's streets teeming with guards, fishmongers, swells, and Fagin's army of little pickpockets. We watch director Carol Reed work with set designers, a composer, and the camera crew. In contrast to the ruddy and open faces of most of the actors is that of wan and wistful Mark Lester, who plays the title role.—<jhailey@hotmail.com>
- 'Charles Dickens (I)'' Oliver Twist, the story of a boy's adventures in nineteenth century London, is the source material for the lavish new music movie Oliver! (1968). Director Sir Carol Reed, musical director Johnny Green, choreographer Onna White and art director John Box are among the major creative forces behind the adaptation of the stage musical, with songs and text by Lionel Bart, to the screen. This team needs to work closely together to capture the different moods and feelings, from the slums of London to the elegance of the Bloomsbury neighborhood, the former scenes which are filmed and designed in brown and gray tones. Reed has special challenges in working on a movie musical, and in dealing with a big cast comprised largely of children.—Huggo
