The participants were asked to make objects in glass of their favorite foods. The problem was interpretation. No one completely lost their project as in the first round. There were some beautiful pieces and some that were more pedestrian. The winner, a very experienced glassblower, created a lovely set of items that were representative of a breakfast meal. I thought the lovely set of taco shells in glass were striking. The one who lost apparently missed the boat on the directions given by the judges. I cannot imagine what it takes to do what these people do, especially when making a display from several individual pieces.

Loved the challenge. I liked the chicken and egg sculpture by the young guy, I like how he likes to do realistic things. I just hope he will never end up doing something that will remind jurors of gift shop because I like to see what else he will create. My favorites were the Venetian taco holders, such a great idea and so elegant. Also liked what the winner of the last round did, very beautiful. The winning piece also looked very creative. I am sad to see the guy who was evicted go, but it was just fair, no matter how beautiful it was what he did was not connected to the assignment.
