Warning: Spoilers
Ar-men is a well produced and well acted short film. The camera captured the light in Brittany beautifully in many wonderful shots of the landscape, and the sea in particular.

Damien, the main character, appears a typical lonely teenager, with few -if any- friends, growing up in a small town. He doesn't appear to have a close relationship with his father, who nonetheless keeps a watchful, loving eye on him. His dream to see a romantic, distant lighthouse remains unfulfilled. This is largely due to his unrealistic expectations of the means to realize the dream. His determination does provide him with the opportunity to experience a day at sea as a fisherman, perhaps leading to future plans. The vastness of the sea symbolizes the teenagers open future. The solid beacon of a lighthouse is -as of yet- missing in Damien's life.

Although it is somewhat hard to get in the main character's head, the film is a pleasure to the eye.
