- Maddie sends a fake email to Kathy, Mr. Abbott gets a surprise birthday treat, and Tom has sex with Leah, but afterwards Leah tells Shannon she didn't want it.
- Mr. Robson learns that the true nature of the talent competition is really just a way of getting good publicity for the band "19 Down". Kathy's smitten by Nixon, one of the boys in the band, and Josh and Maddie realise they can use Martin's computer skills to wind her up - they send an email as though from her idol. With Danny excluded, Mr. Hankin breaths a sigh of relief, but with something of the wrong end of the stick, counsels Ozzie thinking he was bullied by Danny. Ozzie is perfectly happy to admit to having had his life ruined by Danny. There's a shock for Arnie and the other band members - their lock-up has been broken into and their equipment smashed, they figure it's because of what Claire did with the racists. Claire comes clean about why she won't go out with Arnie - she tells Vikki that she doesn't go out with white guys. As Vikki leaves her alone, unhappy about that revelation, she runs past Danny, but won't listen to his protestations of being set up. Lisa has another little party, and Ozzie and Shannon find themselves getting closer while Leah and Tom get another opportunity to be alone in the bedroom. Kelly learns that her new friend is gay after all. Leah and Tom get dressed in Lisa's bedroom - Leah looks shaken - as she leaves she insists Tom doesn't tell anyone what just happened. Finally, Darren gives up trying to keep the refugee girl, Amelia, a secret from his friends, and they are determined that she comes to tea with Amy. Claire becomes very unpopular, not only with the band members, but also with Vikki for her anti-white stance. Kathy is excited to get an email from her boy band hero, fooled by Maddie's faked email address, and replies to it. Maddie reads the mail and learns that Kathy thinks of her as a psycho, Martin as someone from Mars, and thinks of Josh as a wimp, and wastes no time in publicly reading out Kathy's reply. Billy has a surprise for Frankie, the builder, having commissioned Max on the tuba to play a happy birthday refrain - he is pleased that anyone remembered. There's a further surprise too - Miss Fraser emerges from the suspiciously large cake, dressed as a cheerleader and gives him a kiss. On the way out, she murmurs to Billy a reminder of their agreement - her kitchen to be retiled. Leah keeps avoiding Tom, Shannon assumes it is because he's dumped her. After school, Darren explains to Amelia that he's got a plan to get her into school - she's pleased at the prospect of getting out of her protective imprisonment. In the café, Leah is subdued - she confesses to Shannon she had sex with Tom, and now is sure he's telling his mates about his triumph. Leah starts crying, explaining that she didn't want to have sex, but didn't know how to stop him. Shannon puts another question - does she mean that Tom raped her?—Geffers
