A beautiful journey.

I enjoyed very much this journey in Mauritania: beautiful landscapes (the Shara desert, Nouakchott and the Atlantic coast) and nice encounters.

There are many interesting aspects of Mauritania: the return of the tourists ( the trek in the Sahara desert, the 79 years old Annick Jean and her familiy , Mark Audreno and the formation of the Mauritian guides), Chinguetti and the fight against the sand (the reforestation program, the care of the date palm tree in the oasis),the roads through Mauritania ( the camel market in Nouakchott, Ahmed the truck driver who travels to Mali, Sidi Ahmed the bus driver who travels to Nouakchott), the Moorish women ( Bana Koral-the fashion designer-, the elegant veils, the henna tattooes), the agriculture in the south of Mauritania ( the Senegal river, Moussa and his orchard of lemon trees, the promotion of the agriculture axs new jobs) and the Atlantic coast ( the surfing, the fishermen and shipwright of the Imraguens tribe .

I enjoyed the encounters of Ismaël with Sidi Zeidane (the guide of Ismaël in the desert ad Nouakchott), with SElf Islam, the curator of the Al Mahmoud library in Chinguetti, with Sabah Mint Mohamed, the primary school teacher in Ouadane, with Marion Broquere and Somon Nancy in the National Park of the "Banc d'Arguin): very nice encounters with very kind Mauritanian men and women.
