Filmed on a $1000 budget using a Panasonic G7 camera and vintage lenses. Due to budget limitations, the director who also wrote the film, had to perform crew and post production work.
Due to the pandemic in 2020, the director changed the script minimize the actors on set. Some scenes were reduced to a phonecall such as the scenes between Andre and his wife.
The actor originally cast as Officer #1 became ill before filming causing the director to fill in last minute. Everett Anderson who portrays Andre operated camera during those scenes.
The movie was extended from a short film which is available to view on Youtube.
Checklist was filmed in 5 days with the majority of the movie being filmed on the first 3 days due to actor availability. The first day of production started late because of a personal emergency with a cast member. Half of the second day of production had to be called for continuity concerns because of an unexpected downpour. Scenes were altered and removed in order to salvage the film on the 3rd day.
