This is another favorite episode from the show and it is part one in a three parter.

Yeah, I remember playing the "Friday the 13th" Nes game, for the record my brother rented the game not me. I remember seeing it and having a bad feeling about the game, not because I was scared of Jason which I was who wouldn't be, but because the content didn't look promising and I was right.

Once again this was just another bad licensed video game from a long list which to this day still grows. And of course this was a game that was produced by one of the worst video game company's ever "LJN" infamous for making bad licensed games. The game plays out pretty much like a poor mans "Ghouls and Ghosts" as you trying to go from point A to B while fighting zombies and other monsters that have nothing to do with the movies.

The idea of a "Friday the 13th" video game isn't bad but the execution was just poor. I don't mind the idea of fighting other monsters but make it coherent with the story, like may'be Pamala Vorhees was actually some sort of former priest for a Witch cult and has taught Jason Black Magic which is why there are other bump in the night creatures into he game, I know wild concept but at least it makes sense for the presence of the monsters. They also should of made the game more like the Japanese NES RPG game "Sweet Home", (if you want a horror game for the NES add that to the collection that is if your willing to pay extra.) Sorry, drifting off subject a bit, The worst parts of the game for me are in the map and figuring out which direction your trying to go which is so disorienting because the directional logic makes no sense. And getting in and out of cabins where you can just easily get stuck.

It was really funny seeing Jason make an appearance in this episode. It was just funny seeing how James is in a really tight situation as Jason is just threatening poor James to play that crappy game. And of course we see in the last moments James just lose his nerve and then beat the crap out of Jason with an NES control which I'll admit is kinda strange since Jason was wearing a mask for protection let alone the controller didn't break.

Hopefully, the recently developing "Friday the 13th" game being made will make the cut. Like a bad entry in the "Friday the 13th" movie (Jason goes to Manhattan) franchise this past version doesn't make the cut. But James cuts into this game and our funny bone.
