After the raid, Pvt. Cobb is seen holding a wine bottle that's upside down and obviously empty when challenging Webster. In the next scene he is shown drinking from the same bottle.
During the Patrol, SGT. Johnny Martin is carrying an M1 rifle while in the German outpost, but switches to a Thompson Submachine Gun while they patrol is trying to get back across the river; then switches back to the M1 again while they are getting brief for the 2nd patrol.
When Lieutenant Jones meets Sergeant Malarky for the first time, Sergeant Malarky is seen wearing his battle jacket with the sleeve insignia of a US Army Staff Sergeant (three stripes with one "rocker" underneath). In a later scene, that same day, after Sergeant Malarky has showered and is wearing a newer, cleaner battle jacket, he is seen wearing the sleeve insignia of a US Army Sergeant First Class (three stripes with two rockers underneath).
After Winters has told the men that they will not be going on the second patrol, Babe jumps from sitting down to standing up to sitting down again.
In his voiceover narration, David Webster mentions that he had been with Easy Company since its formation, but this is not true. While he had been with the REGIMENT since its formation, he originally trained, and jumped into Normandy on D-Day, with Headquarters Company. It was not until after D-Day that he transferred, upon his own request, to Easy, with whom he would remain until the end of the war.
Johnny Martin is chosen to lead the patrol. In reality, Sgt. Ken Mercier was chosen by Winters to lead the patrol.
The date is given as (Friday) February the Ninth, 1945, and Captain Winters complains that their river crossing for one o'clock the next morning, Saturday, had to be a full moon. In fact, at this time the moon was waning from quarter to new moon, the full moon not occurring that month until Tuesday the 27th.
In the scene where Lt.Jones meets T/Sgt.Malarkey, his weapon is a M1 Carbine. The carbine used by Airborne forces was the variant called the M1A1 Carbine.
During this episode, there are several shots across the river of the town on the other side. Directly opposite Easy Company's position is a distinctive three-storey building with no visible windows on the ground floor, four large, square, windows equally spaced down the side facing the river, and four equally-spaced garret windows cut into the roof on the same side. The roof is equally sloped on all four sides of the building, rising to a central chimney. It's featured centrally in almost all shots across the river, and might actually be the target of the raid, although that's not made clear.
The problem is: this exact building sat across from Easy's position down in Foy, in the previous episode set back in Belgium. It was also visible in the centre of many of the wide shots of the town. The only difference is that in Foy, it had an extra lean-to structure against one side of it. The reason this happened is that all the town sets used in the series were constructed in one place, and broken up and rearranged for the different locations. For some reason the designers missed how distinctive this building is and used it intact for two different consecutive episodes.
In the story about Pvt. Webster returning to his unit, the men are shown showering In their briefs. They would be showering naked. The actors could have been photographed from their waists up.
At 33:15 a member of the crew can be seen on the opposite side of the river trying to run and hide behind a tree as the platoon tries to cross the river.
When the Easy Company crosses the river with their inflatable boats, you can see a man in a red shirt walking relaxed on the other riverside.
After the first patrol, CPT Winters and CPT Nixon are looking across the river at the house from which the German soldiers were taken, talking about the next patrol. However, the sun is setting behind the house, which means they are looking West, towards France, instead of East, towards Germany.
