This is a very bad film. I saw this movie with lot of expectations, and after watching the movie, I am disappointed. The name is taken from the 1973 movie of the same name. Script is OK with a good message, and Chandrasekhar who was the hero in the 1973 movie has made a cameo here, and his performance is good. Jyothi Rai of Kinnari fame and Bharathi have done well.
Screenplay of Edakallu Guddada Mele is quite slow, and the patience of viewers is tested. Storytelling and narration is also not good. Even songs don't leave any impression.
The character development is quite poor, and no one is able to strike a cord with the audience, inspite of cameos from veteran actors.
The Climax scene is the worst scene. Overall, I am disappointed. Those who are fed up of Gangster movies which are becoming prevalent in Kannada Cinema nowadays, can give it a try otherwise give it a skip.
