I enjoyed very much this excursion in the Bourgogne: beautiful landscapes and nice encounters.
There are some interesting aspects of Burgundy: the vineyards of Burgundy (the small plots or climats, the wine maker Etienne Grivot-the terroir and the know-how of the wine makers-, the climats become Unesco World heritage site in 2015, the historian Guillaume Grillon-the manuscript of the 12th century, the monks, then the noble people grow the vineyard , then the textile traders became Burgundy wines traders, later the wine merchants bought the vineyards-, the Maison du Vin at Beaune, the oenologist Véronique, the visit of the cellar and the wine tasting), the "oenotourisme" in Burgundy (the Californian Barbara and Jennifer visit the vineyard with an oenologist, the wine maker Valérie Denis and the wine tasting, the School of Wine and Spirits business of Dijon, the guide Bruno and the segway tour in the vineyard, the different aromas of the wine, the grapes harvesting at the Château de Pommard and the tasting of the fresh grape juice), Meursault as film location for the film (La Grande Vadrouille with Bourvil and Louis de Funès, the memories of the local firemen who were stunts in the movie), the culinary treasures of Burgundy ( Thierry Beuzeux and the looking for the Burgundy truffles, Yann Beuzeux and the tiramisu made with truffles, Emilie Jeanne and her Charolais cow and the direct sale of Charolais meat, Frédéric Menager and his "ferme-auberge", farmhouse-inn -the organic farming of vegetables and the poultry farm-), the "vendanges" ( the wine maker Laurent and the grapes harvest - the advices from a good harvest- , the wine makers Louis, Sophie and Alain Meunier and the 40 harvesters, the snack at 10 am and the great supper, the great moment of encounters and of friendliness) and the festival of "La Paulée" ( the traditional costumes, the brass bands, the hunting horns, the great meal, the wine maker sharing their wine bottles, the male choir and the traditional songs).
I enjoyed very much the encounters of Sophie Jovillard with the chef and pilot William Frachot, with the wine maker Pierre Duroché, with the sommelier Maxime Brunet, with the guide Emilie Chapulliot, with the salewoman Chloé Zaza, with the photographer Philippe, with the caviste François Chaveriat, with the climbers Max and Ludwig, with Hugo Nuzillat and Jérôme Fouailly at the Clos de Vougeot, with the balloonist Pierre, with the caviste Jean-Luc Goichot and the historian Bruno François at Beaune and with the Lafarge family at Lugny; nice encounters with very kind Burgundy men and women.
