- A social outcast with a facial birthmark finds his world flipped upside down after he posts videos of his quirky life onto the Internet and becomes an unwilling cyber-celebrity.
- Rudolph Murray hates his life. He has a large purple birthmark on his upper lip and everyday he finds someone staring, pointing, or calling him names-like Herpes Boy. He makes videos for the Internet in which he rants about his quirky life and zany family, including his New Age mother, emotionally distant father, and grumpy grandmother. When his "actress-slash-model-slash-dancer" cousin re-edits his videos to make herself more popular, it attracts a huge new audience and makes Rudolph an unlikely-and unwilling-cyber-celebrity at the worst possible time in his life.—RudeFilms
- Rudolph Murray (Byron Lane) hates his life. He has a large purple birthmark on his upper lip and everyday he finds someone staring, pointing, or calling him names like "Herpes Boy." Like other social outcasts, he goes on-line to try to meet friends. He makes videos in which he rants about his dead-end job, damaged testicle, and stressed relationship with his zany family, including his New Age mother (Beth Grant), emotionally distant father (Michael Chieffo), unintelligible brother (Zack Silva), and grumpy grandmother (Julianna McCarthy). His videos garner a small audience of other social outcasts including goth teenagers, nerds, overweight kids, and an Internet celebrity (Damian Sanders-Baron). When Rudolph's father dies suddenly during ingrown toenail surgery, his actress-slash-model-slash-dancer cousin Christeee (Ahna O'Reilly) comes to town for the funeral. She re-edits Rudolph's videos and turns his cynical tirades into sexy fodder to make herself more popular. Her videos attract a new audience of hot jocks, pretty girls, and a very opinionated friend (Crystal Young), who clash with Rudolph's social outcasts. Christeee also forces Rudolph to take an active role in his fathers funeral. Rudolph turns to his testy co-worker Rochelle (Octavia Spencer) for some edgy advice and huge Internet audience watches as Rudolph's unresolved feelings for his dad lead to a hilarious, touching, and very unorthodox eulogy.
