Unique story and film

Teenage brother and sister find themselves on the run in the Los Angeles hills/woods from an overzealous racist after he goes way too far trying to protect his ideals. I liked the message of this film and also that I wasn't sure where we were going with it. There's an element of the ghosts of enslaved ancestors looking after their descendants (it opens with a quote referring to this) but it was unclear if this movie was going to take that literally or figuratively, so it was fun trying to predict if there was a supernatural element to this story or not.

Nice cast, the kids were great. Some cool drone photography and music ties this film up into a neat little package.

Supernatural suspense about family traditions
photo-859-4016313 August 2023
This is a supernatural suspense thriller about the importance of family and family traditions. The director handles the story well, keeping the action well-paced and offering a few surprises along the way. The supernatural elements are handled well, kept subtle to add to the suspense. The bad guy could have been a little stronger to ramp up the tension but the supporting roles are strong and distinct. The two leads are the best part of the movie. The lead actress gives a naturalistic performance and the lead actor has a lot of on-screen charisma. The script should have given him more to do and give further depth to his character. It will be interesting to see what movies this filmmaker does next.

Into The Park is all that and more.

Into The Park is listed as a drama horror thriller.... it is all that and more. The movie includes a supernatural element to it that I found very intriguing. The story centers around two teenage siblings who's mother is murdered by a racist cop. The supernatural element comes into play with ghosts of enslaved ancestors helping the pair and really tells the underlaying theme of this story which is...... the importance of family. The two leads, Bryson and Wynter are played by DeVariyay Harris and Kristin Ari'elle Smith who both do a great job at carrying this movie. Check out Into The Park. I give it 2 thumbs up!

super supernatural thriller

Into The Park is a well written supernatural, horror, thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat. All the actors did a great job in making this story so believable. Kudos to the casting director for finding great actors that work so well together. I love how this movie is different than most of the films out there today. I was on the edge of my seat totally enthralled. I loved the scene of the brother caring for his sister when they were trying to get out of the house and shielding her so she would not have to see the horror that had taken place. Along with the suspense there are several emotional scenes.

A thrilling chase movie

Warning: Spoilers
Into the Park was alot of fun to watch. The film stars De'Variyay Harris as Bryson Harris, Kris Ari'elle Smith as Wynter Harris, and Michel Wakim as Tom Laurey. It was a thrilling suspense film that starts off slow but once they get into the park it's alot of fun. I love the mystery behind what could be happening to the characters in the park. You really care about the characters in this film and desperately want to see them get out. Mi'Chelle Nelson was very good at handling suspense. The direction was well handled in regards to building tension. Tom Laurey's death was epic. If you're a fan of escape thrillers, definitely check this one out.
