On a cold Thanksgiving night in 2018, Stefano Da Fre was visiting family in Colorado. That evening, he saw a "Now This" Facebook posting that had reached 23 million views. The person in the video was Jeremy Ornstein, who was being arrested outside Nancy Pelosi's office. Four months later, Directors Stefano Da Fre & Laura Pellegrini met Jeremy for coffee & a conversation about Youth Activism. That conversation became the 'main working framework' for the Documentary Film "The Day I Had To Grow Up".
Directors Stefano Da Fre & Laura Pellegrini actually shot at LaGuardia Airport in NYC. Nothing was staged. In fact Jeremy did not know that a film crew would be there to receive him, film him, and pick him up at the airport.
