- When Bruce Banner is teleported by Heimdall to Earth to pass the warning about Thanos to the Avengers, he finds New York empty until Thanos' minions arrive. They are beaten down by shadowed figures who turn out to be murderous zombie versions of Iron Man, Wong and Stephen Strange. He is rescued from their attack by the Wasp and Spider-Man, assisted by Dr Strange's sentient Cloak of Levitation. The Watcher reveals that Janet Van Dyne in the Quantum Realm was the source of the zombie infection and passed it to Hank Pym and Scott Lang when Pym tried to rescue her. Within 24 hours the West Coast of USA was infected and within two weeks it had spread from the Avengers to the whole planet. Peter Parker shows his orientation video about rules for surviving a zombie apocalypse. The other survivors include Happy Hogan, Kurt from Scott Lang's crew, Bucky Barnes, Sharon Carter and Okoye. They track a garbled message about a cure to Camp Lehigh, and try to use the rail system to reach there. At Grand Central Station they are attacked by zombies including Hawkeye and Falcon. Happy Hogan gets infected. Spider-Man and Wasp find ways to jump start a train. Zombie Captain America boards the train and infects Sharon Carter, who infects Hope Van Dyne before the Cap and Carter zombies are destroyed. Peter Parker shares his thoughts on staying upbeat despite your losses. They reach the vicinity of Camp Lehigh. Hope Van Dyne sacrifices her giant-sized self to get the others across a mass of zombies. The survivors discover that the Vision or more specifically his Mind Stone is the potential cure, demonstrated by the restoration of humanity to the reanimated head of Scott Lang, currently occupying a glass jar. It is revealed that Vision was keeping a zombie Wanda Maximoff on the base and feeding her the survivors who responded to the message, including a leg-amputated but living T'Challa. Bucky encounters a hungry Wanda; Kurt and Okoye fall to her. Scott Lang gets his mobility back from being carried by the Cloak of Levitation. Vision realizes he has to help the survivors take the Mind Stone to Wakanda to then use it to save the world. He removes it from his brow ending his artificial life. Wanda throws Bucky through the sky. Bruce Banner finally gets Hulk to come out to and fight Wanda while the last three fly a Quadjet from the base. The jet is briefly delayed by the zombie giant Hope, then heads for Wakanda. Peter Parker grieves and Scott and T'Challa offers words of comfort. The final scene and hints from the Watcher reveal that Wakanda is now occupied by the zombie plague, and by a zombie Thanos carrying a nearly complete Infinity Gauntlet. He lacks only the Mind Stone which the heroes are currently bringing towards him.
