It looks like the bumpy road is over for Blonde Charity Mafia at the CW network. The series has been dropped, for the second time. Will the show pop up elsewhere?
Blonde Charity Mafia is billed as a docu-series about a trio of influential and do-gooding young ladies in Washington, DC. The Bcm -- made up of Katherine Kennedy, Krista Johnson and Sophie Pyle -- runs the social circuit in our nation's capitol, from charity events to society parties.
The series was originally commissioned for a six episode season for Lifetime back in August 2008. Production began in September of that year. Sometime after that though, Lifetime scrapped plans to air it and the series was sold to The CW.

Seeking to avoid the harsh summer ratings dropoff that's occurred the last two years, the CW has lined up premiere dates for a pair of original series -- the previously announced reality show "Hitched or Ditched" and the documentary series "Blonde Charity Mafia."
"Hitched" will premiere May 26 at 9 p.m. following the season finale of "Reaper." The series, which focuses on couples in long-term relationships who haven't married, is set for a six-episode run through June 30.
"Mafia," which follows influential D.C. twentysomethings on the social circuit, is set to debut July 7 at 9 p.m. with back-to-back episodes. It's scheduled to run through Aug. 4.
Meanwhile, Fox's dating series for overweight contestants, "More to Love," will debut this summer, premiering July 28 at 9 p.m. The move puts "Love" directly across from NBC's "America's Got Talent," which is typically the most-watched series of the summer and debuts about a month before "Love.
