Young Talent From London Ontario Canada
crookbob30 March 2009
I saw this film at a small screening in downtown London Ontario. There was only about a hundred people in the audience but the amount of enthusiasm they had for the film and its director/writer, Sean Stanley, was extraordinary. After the screening I talked to Sean Stanley, an upbeat and very proud man, as well as his Producer, Mark Potter, who is definitely the suit in this duo that is Rakehellrow Productions. There's a couple DVD's available from Rakehellrow, one being that of "Sheepshit" and the other being a compilation of shorts and skits that the London Ontario Canada based production company has produced over the past four years.

Impartial Review

No FMJ, but dark comedy nonetheless.

There were a couple times where I, almost, peed myself laughing. Excellent wordplay and performances throughout. Professional attitude and undertaking with a nice little story to tell. There were a couple of plot points which could have been expanded upon a little more and shown, but it's never a bad thing leaving stuff to "the" vivid imagination. I think I've been to the bar where it was shot. All told, a tidy undertaking which is better than watching a syndicated rerun of Seinfeld.

Note quite: Chris Partlow, Bunny Colvin, Tommy Carcetti, Snoop, Dukie, Johnny Boy(the kid that played Telly in KIDS), Cool Lester Smooth, The Bunk, and McNulty; but hey, what is?

Real, yo.

Look out every movie ever made...

You know how some people have trouble getting the "romance" back in their sex lives, so they put on their favorite erotic videotape/disc in their VHS and/or Laserdisc player during special times of the night? The problem is: perverts. You don't want to look like a pervert when you are getting intimate with your wife/significant other/stranger...

Well look no further people, because I have found the be-all, end-all answer to your relationship problems. Sheepshit. Just pop this baby in and be amazed at the wonderful talent that is Writer/Director Sean Stanley. Other than endlessly amuse me for 33 odd minutes, this film has brought back the much-needed spark into my past 33 odd relationships. Sometimes I just quit mid-thrust and find myself simply enjoying the comedic entertainment that is Sheepshit.

Do yourself a favor, do your significant other a favor, and watch Sheepshit. You need it more than you'll ever know...

I really enjoyed this movie from beginning to end.

Keep your eyes out for writer/director Sean Stanley. He is a young guy from Canada with tons of talent. I can't wait to see his next film. I wouldn't be surprised to see someone throw a pile of money at this kid to make a film for them. I really think this guy has the potential to make a hit movie. He is a little rough around the edges, but you can bet with time, he will hone his craft.

Sheepshit is the story of an April Fool's Day joke. Three guys figure a way to keep themselves from having to buy their buddy a birthday present. His birthday falls on April 1st, so they get together and decide his present will be the best April Fool's Day joke ever.

Well done.
