Alleged Technology Transfer introduced by the Aliens:
- Microwave Oven - causes water molecules in food to vibrate, producing heat that cooks the food.
- Stealth - Radar Absorbing Material used by said coated aircraft to block waves from being return to enemy RADAR (Radio Detection and Receiving) installations and avoid detection in the process
- Fiber Optics - cable which transmits light and information it carries at high rate of speed, used by the telecommunications and computing industry
- Laser - stands for Light Amplification by the Stimulated Emission of Radiation, a device that stimulates atoms or molecules to emit light at particular wavelengths and amplifies that light, typically producing a very narrow beam of radiation. Lasers are used in drilling and cutting, alignment and guidance, and in surgery; the optical properties are exploited in holography, reading bar codes, and in recording and playing compact discs
- Microchip - essentially an electrical circuit(s), reduced to orders of magnitude that can not be seen by the human eye. These circuits can serve as filters (tune into a radio/TV signal), amplifiers, and even complete calculations or run computer instructions in fractions of a second
Though the writers erred in depicting Kennedy with Marilyn Monroe in 1963 (she died in 1962), in the documentary Unacknowledged UFO researcher Steven Greer did claim he had a wiretap summary and other documents that revealed Marilyn accompanied Kennedy on a visit to a secret base where he inspected items of alien origin. He further stated she was killed when she threatened to go to the press with the info after Kennedy ended their affair. Note that Greer did not produce the alleged documents during the film.
Other than running Columbia University, Dwight D. Eisenhower had no political experience before he became President. His most famous accomplishment, as an Army General, was his victory in the Normandy invasion of France (D-Day), during the Second World War.
Richard Nixon was known as "Tricky Dick" because of his political maneuvering (some might even say "Machiavellian"). He was also quite adept at poker, as demonstrating during his time in the Navy.
Richard Nixon was Dwight D. Eisenhower Vice-President . He would eventually become President in 1968, but not before running against John F. Kennedy, the first time around.
