Learn more- David's a chronic alcoholic that frequents a small-town bar on the outskirts of town. Taking his usual late-night route home driving the back-roads in a drunken stupor, David makes a gruesome discovery. At least, he thinks he did.
Seeing a dead woman sitting quietly in his backseat, he freaks and nearly hits a passing car - a deputy's car. A quick U-turn and the deputy is on his bumper as David frantically bails from his car. He swears there is a dead woman in his car, but the deputy sees nothing but a drunk driver and promptly takes him to jail.
Sitting in a holding cell, the woman returns, creating yet another terrifying encounter. She appears out of nowhere, shaking David and pleading, "Think, David, think! You must remember!" Just as quickly as she appeared, she disappears, leaving David in a panic.
Out of jail, David's life is upended as the dead woman continues to stalk him. His alcohol-damaged memory begins to come back in flickers. He vaguely begins to remember the fateful night.
The dead woman, he has seen her before - in the bar, with the killer. But he can't remember the night. Unpersuaded by death, the woman continues her pursuit, confronting David on an all-too familiar bridge. David realizes that there is only has one way to rid himself of the lady. Reluctantly, he calls a deputy to the bridge where he suspects the body lays. Believing him to be the killer, David is again arrested.
David's sketchy memory leads the detectives to an unsuspected villain. Obviously skeptical, the detectives follow up on the hunch and pay a visit the supposed killer.
Life takes a wicked twist as the detectives finally learn the "truth."
