About 13 minutes in, Lila types on her laptop that Sherlock Holmes was her grandfather's favorite author. Sherlock Holmes was a fictional character in a series of books written by Arthur Conan Doyle.
No postmarks on the mail that Mary put on Lila's desk - the front of the envelopes were blank other than recipient's address and (uncanceled) stamps.
Several misspelled words in article about Mary stalking professor, and punctuation error in movie title: should be "Death, She Wrote" (comma after "Death").
Whoever was in charge of writing the text for this movie should take an English class or two. Not only are there several punctuation and spelling errors in the two paragraphs that the lead character typed on her laptop near the beginning of the movie, AND in the article about Mary's arrest for stalking a professor, but the title itself is incorrect without a comma after the word "Death". It should be 'Death, She Wrote'. If they're going to brazenly rip off a well-known TV series title ('Murder, She Wrote'), then at least they could write it with the correct punctuation.
The Indianapolis Voice article read by Lika's nephew reads, "professor claimed he was being stocked..." The article is full of misspellings and grammatical errors.
The newspaper, The Indianapolis Voice, lists its location as Newsburgh, Indiana. There is no "r" in Newburgh, Indiana. Additionally, the borough is 3 hours outside of Indianapolis.
Mary makes many mistakes with her lies that could easily be verified if both Lila and Rand were in the room (delaying vs canceling the date). Simple communication would have caught her.
About 13 minutes in, Lila types two paragraphs on her laptop, which contain several punctuation and grammar errors. The most glaring error was the use of the word "was" instead of "were" as in: "When I was a young girl my fondest memories *was* Sunday evenings spent with my grandparents". A published author would never make such an obvious error as that, along with the other one: "all the greats" - it should be "all of the greats".
